| This peak is #98 on the Height List for British Columbia . This peak Bivouac #2209 is the highest point in the area. According to ACC historian Roger Wallis, this is the true Hallam Peak, and therefore we designate it as such. We therefore declare that the label "Hallam Peak" shown on both the 1:50K map and the TRIM map is in the wrong location. The label is on a lower peak 3095m in height and about 600m to the northeast. Located on the S side of the Hallam Glacier and SE of the Foster Glacier. On the map, this peak appears as a point labelled 3205m. On the 1:50K map, the true summit of Hallam is not labelled. Name Notes: Adopted 22 February 1963 on 83D, as labelled on BC map 5D, 1941.

Hallam obtained his commission as a professional land surveyor in 1921; career biography or obituary published in BC Land Surveyors annual report, 1931. [the significance of the naming gesture is not provided; presumably Hallam conducted extensive surveys in this area, or otherwise distinguished himself.]
