Sharktooth Region (Sharktooth 3)
Map Hierarchy: North America / Alaska Yukon / Northern BC / Sharktooth

Location: This area lies east of the Dease River and north of the Stikine. Its northern boundary is the Liard, and the eastern boundary is the Rocky Mountain trench (Ketchika River). Area: 29361 sq km

Includes: Spatsizi Plateau, Mount Stikine Ranges, Three Sisters Range, Boya Lake Provincial Park, Kechika Ranges, southern part of Stikine Ranges, Horseranch Range Rivers: Turnagain River, McBride River, Tucho river, Rapid River, Eagle River, Deadwood River, Black Angus Creek

Terrain: The most interesting mountains in this region are the ones along the southern boundary, just north of the Pitman River. There are numerous islands of peaks on both sides of the McBride River, with trails going up most valleys. This area is referred to as part of the Spatsizi Plateau.

The eastern boundary, around Red river is mostly scrub forest, with only a few small mountains above treeline (4000'). Just east of the Dease River the Horseranch Range has a long continuous section above treeline. Click Here for Mountains
